The municipal Almácera term borders on the following localities: Alboraya, Bonrepós and Mirambell, Meliana, Tavernes Blanques and Valencia, all of them of the province of Valencia.
Placed to the north of the city of Valencia, in the left margin of the ravine of Carraixet. The term is completely flat. The area is of clay and sand. The Carraixet ravine crosses it of west to this one and serves as limit with Alboraya and Tabernes Blanques; normally it is dry or with a small water course, except in the periods of rain, in which there can take place dangerous floods (like that of 1957, which caused large damages). At present a praiseworthy work is carried out on the part of public classes, recovery of the fauna and flora of the same one, trying not to destroy a proper habitat of the Mediterranean marsh.
The climate is Mediterranean.
There was an ancient Moslem farmhouse donated by king Jaime I the Conqueror in 1238 to the bishop of Huesca, Vidal of Canyelles. In 1242 it belonged to Miró of Ciutadella. There is documented the order of a payment of solid fifty to D.P. Marrades to date of May 7, 1372 and another June 26 of the same year, as it consists in the book Claveria Comuna.
Later until 1610, it was a dominion of the Artés, happening later to be a property of the counts of Parcent, up to the abolition of the dominions in 1814.
