The municipal Fortaleny term borders on the following localities: Corbera, Cullera, Llaurí, riola and Swede, all of them of the province of Valencia.
The origin of the population is Moslem, being a farmhouse that king Jaime I donated Juan Tos. Until 1836 it belonged to the jurisdiction of Corbera of Alcira.
Placed to the north of the Saw of Corbera.
The surface of the term is completely flat. The river Júcar serves as limit for the north sector, then it turns towards the south and serves also like milestone for the East. TheTown is built in the right shore of the river Júcar
Abbot celebrates his management holidays to San Antonio on January 17. And his popular holidays from August 15 until August 19. Being the 19th his maximum day of splendor celebrating the popular profession of the Holiest Christ del Consuelo.
