The municipal Alfarrasí term borders on the following localities: Benisuera, Guadasequies, Montaverner, Ollería, The Dovecote, and Sempere, all of the province of Valencia.
Placed in the center of the vale of Albaida, in the left margin of the river Albaida, along with the confluence with the river Clariano. Altitude was measuring 200 m. The surface of the term is waved, and she lacks important heights with the exception of a small foreland on which a chapel is located. The ground is whitish, due to the marls and clays that form it. The rivers Albaida and Clariano serve as limit for the East and the south; of the first one it takes waters the ditch of Alfarrasí, which waters the term, distributed in bench-covers, it is dedicated in most cases to the dry land. TheTown is placed in the left margin of the river Albaida, crossed by the highway of Valencia to Alicante, about which develops.
Of Arab origin, etymologically it proceeds of "alfarrasar". His conquest by king Jaime I is dated in 1244. His first gentleman was Weep ç for Rocafull. From 1244 until 1707 it belonged to the Government of Játiva and was depending ecclesiastically, until 1542, on Benigánim. It was a Moriscos' place and with his expulsion it remained practically depopulated until 1625. In the middle of XVIIIth century it was sold in public auction to the Fuenteclara house to be able to pay to his creditors. In 1813, the French installed a military detachment in the called game the Battery. From 1822 to 1833, with the new territorial distribution of the Spanish Parliament of Cadiz, was part of the province of Játiva.
